Last night I was looking at the facebook profile of PERSON. I barely know PERSON, but anyway. PERSON had excessive facebook applications. iLike and X me and Bunny Pic all over. I scrolled down to the bottom of PERSON’s profile, looking for twitter, and came upon a lime green app called Trakzor. “Oh shit,” I thought, “facebook has a tracking feature and now I won’t feel comfortable looking people up, even if they’re in my classes or I work with them or something! And everyone can see that I looked at PERSON’s profile because the app features a public box that links to the viewers’ profile! It links back to my profile!”

But then. I looked up Trakzor and discovered that PERSON could only see me if I had also integrated the Trakzor app into my profile.
